Officemates Required

After having worked in Shell Cyberjaya for nearly 2 months, I've started feeling out of touch with my social skills, especially when I go out with friends which is already not as often as I hoped.

Working mostly at night (serving US market) contributes to this of course because there's not much opportunity to mingle and network with the rest of the working population who are luckily enough serving the (more hectic) daytime countries/regions.

Hence this post is on my plea cum encouragement for friends of mine who are on good terms with me (not that there are any enemies) to apply and work here. There's only so many games you can play at the pool table by yourself LMAO pathetic right

Anyways here's the link should you be eligible to apply for any of them. Click search once you've gone to this link:

My Graduation

Surprisingly, I was hyped for my Masters graduation last weekend at UUM. This came as a surprise as I didn't think much of it when I began the 2.5 year MBA course. Only when I got there did I realize I went through a quite a lot just to complete it (believe me there was one too many occasions where I just wanted to drop it).

All the weekends and especially ones with close friends' wedding receptions sacrificed really brought me down, however minute it sounds. This is why I'm quite a time-sensitive person. My take on it is time shouldn't be wasted waiting for someone, because it doesn't wait for anyone, do you understand?

Anyways ever since my degree days there has been loads of memories created and shared with close friends back in COSA (faculty body), aikido and digi (extracurricular) and even though they were mostly happy memories, this time around, only being accompanied by the embrace of my parents, the feeling is more solid. Like it's the event that reaffirmed me that without my parents who've sacrificed much more than just a few weekends, I wouldn't have made it anywhere, let alone hold a masters scroll. So in a way this is a dedication to them and of course, God almighty.

Not forgetting the most understanding class and group mates Meera, Syamsun and Chia; And ex housemates who used to send me to the ERL (Faizal and Kit); And the rest who've believed in me.

EDM

Hello!

I greet you with an exclamation mark as I'm having quite a headache today.

At work, one of my colleagues near my workstation played EDM (electronic dance music) which is a music genre my ears can't really tolerate. Even though he listens to it via the headphones, the sound is still blaring and comprehensible and I tell you, it does my head in when the "beat drops".

FYI, to them (EDM lovers) it might sound like a climactic musical climb followed by the drop which is like an implosion of noise, but to me it just sounds like a renewable cycle of systemic noise. Don't get me wrong, I love some EDMs which resemble rhythms which tell a story (or at least a sense of direction), but not the type that sounds like 'House' or 'Garage' music genre, so don't even ask me what those are!

Henceforth, if you're my friend, I will steer clear of your EDM eargasmic activity. Or delete them from your playlist when you're gone.

INTRO

Hi fellow reader,

Been holding back from creating a Blog since as long as I can remember, even when friends have prodded me to start one way back in 2007/08. This is probably due to the amount of things I want and can say was limited in life off the line and not having ample time to have started one what with my studies and slavery (work) schedule.

Just a backgrounder of me: I've been a big sized person all my life, now bordering on monstrosity because no matter how many days pass with the phrase "I'll start my diet tomorrow" it never seems to translate to action, so yeah I'm daft at losing weight. I'm a gentle-hearted, soul-singer wannabe with tanned (curry brown je) skin hailing from Ipoh->Taiping->Swindon->Puchong. Oh and badminton is pretty important in my life as it's the only sport I don't suck at.

As my blog title suggests, the topics I'd highlight will not revolve around public issues. However there will probably come a time where I'll give a personal and not-so-credible personal opinion on a public issue, hence my writing will be anything but public.

Before I go on posting other things, I wish you find some comfort in reading a personal blog like this and think of it as just another friend's time killed lol. Seriously what I do right now permits me to blog as a job. Hmmm if only it could bring in cash.
